Not a whole lot of shaking going on here....

The line for Shake Shack on Friday night. Simply not worth the wait.

Tapas con mi hermano

Had a great lunch of tapas at Jaleo in Washington with my brother. We had: piquillo, arroz setas, tort seta gerrot, trigueros, chorizo, aceitunas manche, iberico jamon and salpicon cangrej. Chef Jose Andres has been making tapas here for years and while it may have a bit of a 'tired' feeling, it rarely disappoints.

La Casa de Los Tacos

Dos tacos carnitas with the works.... check out the fresh avocado.

La Casa de Los Tacos

OK, so Eric Asimov reviewed this taco joint a few years ago in The New York Times (well ten actually) but I still found too. You can read his review here.

And believe it or not, the prices haven't changed much. We ordered 8 tacos with the works and three cups of cafe con leche and the check was about $25. If you're still hungry, walk a few doors down to Patsy's Pizza for a pie (or two).
